Oskaloosa Facilities: Cleaning Abilities

World Food Processing’s cleaning capabilities are almost endless. Our state-of-the art conditioning facility allows us to clean product to meet our customer’s needs and request’s. We utilize an extensive Identity Preserved program that tracks product through our entire system and maintains variety and individual lot integrity.

Our Oskaloosa facility was built in 1999 and features a wide array of cleaning equipment. Our system allows us to clean product up to 3 different screen sizes at one time. This ability allows us to narrow down product to a particular seed size.

We begin the cleaning process with our Crippen Scalp Cleaner, which takes the foreign material out of the product. Our Crippen Destoner removes stones and other heavy waste material. The product then goes through our Crippen Gravity Table which eliminates defective product from good product. Our Crippen Polisher removes dirt, dust and odor. The product then goes through a Satake Photo-Eye or color-sorter. This piece of equipment utilizes special optical lens’s and compressed air jets to identify and discard product that does not fit the color profile that is programmed into the machine. The product then goes through Carter Day 6 and 4 cylinder sizer’s.
