Partners: FTE Genetics
FTE Genetics, Inc. was founded in 1985 on the principle that combining positive agronomic characteristics with enhanced nutrient profiles and growing the resulting germplasm in a controlled closed production system would create true value. This principle worked and today FTE is known as the leading private developer of value added food soybeans in the United States.
For over 19 years, FTE has developed new soybeans that combine positive agronomic characteristics with unique nutrient characteristics designed for specific soy-food applications. Soybeans that farmers like to grow, soybeans that taste good, soybeans that are milky in color, soybeans high in protein, make FTE Genetics the choice for food soybeans around the world.
With research locations located in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Kansas, Missouri and Texas, FTE develops a wide range of specialty soybean varieties. FTE breeds soybeans year round with breeding locations in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Argentina. In addition, FTE has developed a fast track breeding system that can generate up to seven generations of soybeans per year. Developing leading technologies that increase the efficiency of genetic development is the primary focus at FTE.
