Group Leader Expectations
Group Leaders are responsible for establishing and maintaining growers for World Food Processing.
1. Group Leaders must ensure that their growers have their contracts signed and returned to WFP by May 1st, 2004. Failure to sign and return contracts by this date are grounds for removal from our program.
2. Group Leaders are responsible for holding pre-planting and pre-harvesting meetings with their growers. WFP will help to provide information for these meetings, regarding clean out procedures and other IP practices.
3. Group Leaders must complete the producer profile and ensure their growers have them returned to WFP by November 1, 2004.
4. Group Leaders are also responsible for coordinating sample collection and total bushel harvested from each of their growers. WFP will mail out sample packets with instructions on how to collect the samples from each grower, but it is the Group Leaders responsibility to ensure that the growers mail their sample(s) to WFP no later than November 15, 2004.
5. Group Leaders are required to collect yield data on all their growers and return to WFP by November 15, 2004. Please note that all information on the provided sheet must be filled out to ensure data accuracy.
6. WFP is encouraging test plots to be done by Group Leaders on the varieties that their growers are growing for the current crop year. Please fill out the same sheet as provided for yield data and return to WFP by November 15, 2004.
Please contact World Food Processing with any questions or comments that you might have about the upcoming growing season.
